Emergency Notifications and Campus Updates
In the event of an emergency, information is shared on 世界杯官方app Today and the university's official social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Additionally, the university uses a variety of methods to notify the campus community and guests of a developing situation or emergency. Risk and Emergency Management coordinates the emergency notification system and the Giant Voice outdoor/indoor mass notification system. These technologies allow students, faculty and staff to receive life safety and security messages at any of the university's campuses or via their mobile or landline devices. LiveSafe App
The LiveSafe app allows students, faculty, staff and visitors to quickly and easily report a concern or access safety services, such as connecting with the 世界杯官方app Police Department or activating the Safewalk feature. Watch our video to learn more.

Personal Preparedness
When disaster strikes a community and disrupts normal activities where you live, work or attend school what will you do? Protect yourself and others during a disaster event by creating a personal preparedness plan and learning more about how to keep yourself safe during an emergency.
Severe Weather Shelter Locations
If you are on campus when severe weather occurs or tornado warning are issued, look for the red "Severe Weather Shelter" signs. Use good independent judgment in regard to your immediate safety and act quickly and appropriately.
- Seek an interior room with no windows or glass walls on the lowest level of a building. Rooms without an exterior wall are preferred. Avoid auditoriums or rooms with high or vaulted ceilings.
- If possible, find an interior restroom or exit stairwell to take refuge during severe weather, although some classrooms, conference rooms, meeting spaces, or hallways may also work well.
- Heed the weather warnings provided by the National Weather Service and/or the university. Listen to local news stations or monitor weather radar.
- Act quickly, warn others around you and remain in a safe place until conditions improve.

The university uses an automated alerts system to provide notifications to students, faculty and staff in the event of an emergency. Detailed information and updates are posted on 世界杯官方app Today and the official university social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Students, Faculty and Staff
Students and current employees can sign up quickly and easily through My世界杯官方app Account by selecting "世界杯官方app Alerts" under the "Personal Information" tab.
To receive emergency updates by text, email or voice message, log in to My世界杯官方app Account and sign up for “世界杯官方app Alerts” under the personal information tab. Once registered, you will receive a call, text message or email in the event of a campus emergency.
Guest and Visitor Alerts
University guests can temporarily opt in to receive 世界杯官方app Alerts during events, camps and other activities. Emergency updates will be provided by text.
To sign up for temporary alerts, text 世界杯官方appGuest to 226787. You will receive a confirmation and welcome text. Registration for guest alerts expire after sixty days, or you can reply “ STOP 世界杯官方appGuest” to cancel.
